These are a modified continuous loop optimized for use with a becket hitch system.
 
I'm a huge proponent of the becket hitch system, connecting tree straps directly to my hammocks continuous loops.
 
It eliminates the need for any components other than tree straps. It's hammock suspension in its simplest form.
 
However sometimes untying it can be a bit difficult. The becket loops have a little finger pull loop that makes this easier. Just pull up on the finger loop and the tail end of the becket hitch at the same time and it comes undone very easily.
